Exhibition Venue Earls Court and Olympia owner Capital and Counties (CapCo) has played down the risk of delay to Earls Court’s redevelopment after legal proceedings were launched against the company’s plans. A 66-year old local resident from West Kensington Estate commenced legal proceedings in October against CapCo’s exclusivity agreement with London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham (LBHF) for redevelopment of the 77-acre Earls Court Opportunity Area (ECOA).
DICIAMO TO USE QR CODES
FOR IMMEDIATE VISITOR FEEDBACK - uploaded 15.11.2011
Exhibition organisers can potentially capture real-time feedback on visitors’ experiences thanks to software developed by a Bristol company. Diciamo has created an IT package for the exhibition industry allowing people to give feedback at an event using Quick Response (QR) codes. The code, a type of two-dimensional bar first designed for the automotive industry, helps businesses engage with their customers via their smartphones or tablets. “Our system allows people who attend exhibitions and conferences to give feedback via their smartphones while they are at events, which we believe is unique within the industry,” said Diciamo spokesman Mario Dolcezza. “This sort of immediate feedback is invaluable for exhibition and conference organisers to keep and win new customers.” Technology in the exhibition industry continues to move at a fast pace.
